As you may know by now, at Botany Barn Canada we value natural, safe, and sustainable skincare. I am therefore very excited to introduce you to one of my newest products: natural deodorant! I've lost track of how long I have been making my own deodorant, but it's probably close to 15 years. After a little push from some friends who have been purchasing deodorant from me for the past few years, I've finally made it available for purchase!
Natural deodorant is formulated to neutralize odour-causing bacteria and naturally absorb sweat (not to prevent sweating like an antiperspirant does). So yes, you will still sweat! But that's not a bad thing. Let your armpits do their thing!
My natural deodorant is formulated with skin-loving, plant-based ingredients that are gentle on your delicate underarm area. Unlike conventional deodorants that contain harsh & synthetic ingredients, our deodorant nourishes your skin while keeping it fresh and odor-free.
No aluminum, parabens, or other harmful additives - every ingredient serves a specific purpose, and for full transparency, I’ve listed them all for you below.
Shea butter & Cocoa butter - highly nourishing & protects underarm skin, soothes skin irritations.
Coconut oil - a natural deodorizer, fights odour causing bacteria & nourishes skin.
Arrowroot powder - naturally absorbs sweat and moisture. Helps thicken & create a smooth creamy deodorant texture. Gentle on skin.
Baking soda - highly absorbant & neutralizes odour. Our deodorant contains arrowroot as the primary absorbant because it is gentle on sensitive skin. Only a small quantity of baking soda is used to prevent irritation from occurring.
Tea tree essential oil - believed to have antifungal and antibacterial properties that help fight odour. Fresh camphoraceous scent.
Lavender essential oil - also believed to have antibacterial properties. Rich floral scent with a hint of fruitiness.
